Curriculum “Avalokite Duo”

Avalokite Duo, arpa e percussioni, nasce da due colleghi insegnanti, Patrizia Boniolo e Guido Facchin, con lo scopo di far conoscere l’arpa da concerto a pedali e il vario mondo delle percussioni, nell’ambito cameristico, per divulgare la musica contemporanea e valorizzare la musica popolare impiegando strumenti folcloristici tipici, così da unire nella musica i vari stili e culture dei vari popoli. Il Duo ha voluto stimolare l’interesse dei compositori, al fine di ampliare il loro repertorio, commissionando loro opere per l’esecuzione in concerto. Tra gli autori che hanno collaborato con il Duo si ricordano: C. Colazzo, M.B. Furgeri, P. Furlani, F. Mengozzi, E. Bruni, M. Pagotto, R. Riccardi, P. Samoggia, C. Scannavini, E. Schiesari, L. Signorini, A. Talmelli e M. Zuccante, S. Bianchera, A. Fontana, M.G. Armaleo, B. Yoffe, A. Bruzzese, A. Costantini, S. Ottomano. Il repertorio dell’Avalokite Duo, che prevede anche trascrizioni e adattamenti di importanti brani classici e popolari, comprende composizioni dello stesso Guido Facchin, G. Mainerio, F. G. Lorca, L. Harrison, B. Andrès, J. L. Adams, T. Dun , A. Nazarian, M. Schafer. L’Avalokite Duo affianca all’attività concertistica quella didattica e di ricerca. L’Avalokite Duo ha registrato "The Spirit of Sounds", Works for Harp and Percussion e “The Spirit of Harmony” per Dynamic Records e “The Planets” per Stradivarius.

The Avalokite Duo (harp and percussion) arises from the enthusiasm of two colleagues and teachers, Patrizia Boniolo and Guido Facchin, who wanted to introduce the public to the concert pedal harp and the heterogeneous world of percussion instruments, in a context chamber music, guided by the aim of disseminating contemporary music and highlighting popular music through the use of traditional folk instruments, in order to combine the styles and cultures of different peoples in music.

The Duo thus wants to stimulate the interest of composers, in order to expand their repertoire,  commissioning works to be performed in concert.  Among the authors who collaborated with the Duo are: C. The repertoire of the Avalokite Duo, which includes the transcription and adaptation of important classical and popular pieces, it includes works composed by Guido Facchin himself, G. Mainerio, F. G. Lorca, L. Harrison, B. Andrès, J. L. Adams, T. Dun and A. Nazarian. The Avalokite Duo integrates their concert activity with teaching and research.
